Kabuli Chana Chaat

काबुली चना चाट तैयार करने की सामग्री और विधि।

Ingredients and Method to prepare a healthy Kabuli Chana Chaat.

1. Kabuli Chana 30g
2. Heeng 1 pinch
3. Red Chilli Powder 1/4 tsp
4. Salt To Taste
5. Lemon Juice 2 – 3 drops

Instructions:

  1. Soak Chana: Soak 1 cup of Kabuli chana in 3 cups of water overnight.
  2. Rinse: Drain the soaked chana, rinse well, and drain again.
  3. Boil Chana: Pressure cook the soaked chana with enough water for about 4-5 whistles or until they are soft and fully cooked.
  4. Drain: Once cooked, drain the boiled chana and set aside.
  5. Heat Oil: Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
  6. Add Asafoetida: Add ¼ teaspoon of heeng (asafoetida) into the hot oil.
  7. Add Chana: Add the boiled chana to the pan and stir well.
  8. Spice it Up: Add salt to taste and 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder. Mix everything thoroughly so the spices coat the chana well.
  9. Cook: Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  10. Finish: Turn off the heat and add a tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir well.
  11. Serve: Serve the chana chaat hot.
