Daal Paratha
दाल परांठा तैयार करने की सामग्री और विधि।
Ingredients and Method to prepare a healthy Dal Paratha.

Instructions:
- Soak Dal: Soak 1 cup of moong dal in water overnight.
- Drain Dal: In the morning, drain the water from the dal.
- Prepare Dal Filling:
- Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a kadahi (pan) over medium heat.
- Add a pinch of hing (asafoetida) and cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the soaked and drained dal, followed by spices: turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Stir well and cook the dal for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes dry and fragrant.
- Set aside and let it cool completely.
- Prepare Dough:
- In a separate bowl, take 1 cup of wheat flour and knead it into a soft dough using water as required. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Stuff the Paratha:
- Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a ball.
- Flatten the ball and place 1-2 tablespoons of the cooled dal mixture in the center.
- Carefully bring the edges of the dough together to seal the filling inside.
- Roll the Paratha:
- Dust the stuffed dough ball with some dry flour and roll it out gently into an even paratha (about 6-7 inches in diameter).
- Cook the Paratha:
- Heat a tawa (griddle) over medium heat. Place the rolled paratha on the hot tawa.
- Cook the paratha on both sides, applying ghee or oil, until golden brown and crisp.
- Serve: Serve the dal paratha hot with yogurt, pickle, or chutney of your choice.
